What is the best field hockey stick for a midfielder?

I play on the high school varsity field hockey team at an advanced level. I don't know if I should be getting an elite stick because you need to have really good control, to use one, i think. What field hockey stick brand is the best for a midfielder, and what kind of head should it have? If you could also give the links to some websites that would be great. Also, if you could give the specific name of the stick that would be great. Thanks!|||A field hockey stick|||hi, well theres tons of field hockey sticks and for a midfielder u should get a stick with more carbon, yet if you havent been playing long dont get CARBON...what carbon does it makes the stick stiffer ..but if your in high school thats good to have carbon in a stick yet its more $.Grays are a good

|||Good; TK (love them). Grays (sorta). Dita (amazing). Mazon (ok). Malik (i've never had one). Kookaburra (very hard to find but a quality brand). Adidas (very competitive stick). Gryphon and Wasp are also quality brands.

Sucks; Brine (hate it with every fiber of my being). Cranberry (snaps so easily

STX (they are just junk for anyone over junior high level). Oh and another great brand is VooDoo, good with wicked designs.:)

You might want to check out the USFH us field hockey website, they have a very detailed stick choosing section. I would sugest a shorti or maxi toe

Good luck in your hockey,

|||Playing in my fourth year of field hockey right now, I suggest that you go with a Grays somewhere around x5000 it stiff for hitting, but still lets you have control. Try looking on www.graysusa.com or www.longstreth.com to order them. Good Luck!
