How do you skate backwards on hockey ice skates?

I don't play hockey or take lessons. I have a pair of hockey skates and I know how to skate backwards but how do you do it fast? I see hockey players skate backwards soooooo fast. When some people(mostly hockey players) skate they start like they are jumping side to side it's hard to explain. HOw do you do that also? Any other tips?|||This has everything you need, how to do stuff for hockey. http://www.monkeysee.com/video/subcatego鈥?/a>|||you do c cuts like a c and just bend your knees and it helps sometimes to keep one hand up. It just takes lots of practice so keep practicing! =)

|||stand in a normal position with your feet parallell and your knees bent. then push on your inside edges so your feet move in a "C" shape. start slow and then work your way up and do it faster when you gain balance and learn how to use your edges
